Business Sponsorship Chair

Love connecting with people and supporting our school community?
This could be the perfect PTO role for you!

The Business Sponsorship Chair will help build relationships with local businesses and connect them with opportunities to support our school. You’ll reach out to potential sponsors, maintain relationships with current business partners, coordinate sponsorships and donations, and help make sure our generous sponsors receive recognition from the PTO.

Great for someone who is friendly, organized, comfortable communicating with local businesses, and excited about bringing our school and community together!

Time commitment: Flexible and largely self-directed, with most activity concentrated around fundraising and sponsorship seasons.

🌽1770s Day (5th Grade): Each year, the PTO partners with Ross Farm for an interactive day of life in the 1770s. Chairs coordinate the schedule and stations, supplies, and parent volunteers. The event takes place in the fall. 4th grade parents are invited to shadow this year’s chairs and see if they’d like to take it on next year.

🎒Kindergarten Historian: Each grade has a historian who follows the class throughout their 6 years at OSS. The historian takes and collects photos from school events, organizes them in a shared Google Drive, and turns them over to the yearbook committee midway through 5th grade. We’re looking for someone to take on this role for the incoming kindergarten class.

👻Halloween Trunk or Treat: Boo! After years of ghouls, candy, and chaos, our current Trunk or Treat chairs are hanging up their capes after this year. We are looking for 2 individuals to shadow the outgoing trunk or treat chair and eventually take over leading the event next year. Learn from resident pro Jillian Micheli and you'll be ready to go for 2027!
